Terms of use
ShareToCheck provides educational scam-risk guidance. It is a second opinion, not a guarantee or authorization to act.
ShareToCheck does not currently charge for subscriptions. These terms require final review by licensed counsel and must identify the legal operator, contact details, and governing jurisdiction before a general public beta or paid launch.
1. Acceptance and eligibility
By selecting the acceptance box and submitting a check, creating or using an account, or otherwise accessing ShareToCheck, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter a contract. If you use ShareToCheck for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind it.
2. What the service does
ShareToCheck analyzes messages, emails, links, images, visible text from sampled video frames, and selected public page evidence for common scam indicators and suggests a safer next step. Results may combine rules, reputation sources, registration data, static page inspection, and AI-assisted analysis. The service does not execute scripts from a submitted webpage. Video checks do not analyze audio, identity, deepfakes, every frame, or motion-only behavior.
3. No safety, identity, or accuracy guarantee
A low or unverified result does not mean that a link, message, person, request, or transaction is safe or authentic. Threat information can be incomplete or delayed, and scammers continually change tactics. AI and automated results can be inaccurate, incomplete, inconsistent, or affected by manipulated content. A result is not a certification, identity verification, security clearance, endorsement, or permission to send money, disclose information, install software, or open a link. Independently verify important requests using contact information you obtain yourself.
4. Not professional, emergency, or high-stakes advice
ShareToCheck does not replace your financial institution, law enforcement, legal counsel, cybersecurity professionals, emergency services, or other qualified advisers. If money or account access may be at immediate risk, contact the relevant institution through a verified channel and secure the account directly.
Do not use a ShareToCheck result as the sole basis for decisions about credit, employment, housing, insurance, education, healthcare, legal rights, eligibility, law enforcement, or another decision with a significant effect on a person.
5. Your submissions and permission to process them
You keep any rights you hold in content you submit. You give ShareToCheck and its service providers a limited, non-exclusive permission to receive, transmit, temporarily process, and analyze that content only to provide, secure, troubleshoot, and lawfully operate the requested check. This permission ends when processing is complete, except for provider security obligations and the de-identified, optional feedback described in the Privacy Notice.
You represent that you are permitted to submit the content. Remove unnecessary personal information. Do not submit trade secrets, confidential business records, passwords, authentication codes, full payment-card data, medical records, government identification numbers, intimate images, or illegal content.
6. Accounts, access plans, and limits
You are responsible for activity through your authenticated session and must protect access to it. Access plans and usage limits may vary and may be enforced to prevent abuse, manage provider costs, or keep the service available. Pilot entitlements are discretionary, cannot be sold or transferred, and may expire or be withdrawn.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use ShareToCheck to probe private networks, evade security controls, automate abusive traffic, submit unlawful content, interfere with the service, bypass rate limits, scrape or reverse engineer the service, test links you are not authorized to test, infringe another person's rights, create or improve malware or scams, or misrepresent a result as a certification. Do not submit child sexual abuse material or content that exploits a child. Access may be limited or suspended to protect users, providers, and the public.
8. Third-party content and providers
ShareToCheck relies on hosting, authentication, security, reputation, domain-registration, network, and AI providers. Their services may be unavailable, changed, or governed by separate terms. ShareToCheck does not control a submitted or linked website and is not responsible for its content, availability, security, products, or practices. A link result does not create an affiliation with or endorsement of the target.
9. ShareToCheck intellectual property
ShareToCheck and its licensors retain all rights in the service, branding, software, interfaces, reports, and underlying methods, excluding your submitted content. Subject to these Terms, you receive a limited, revocable, non-transferable right to use the service for lawful personal or internal business purposes during the pilot.
10. Paid services are not yet offered
Current Plus and Partner access is manually assigned pilot access and does not involve a charge. Before any paid or automatically renewing plan is offered, ShareToCheck must present the price, billing frequency, renewal terms, trial conversion, taxes, cancellation method, refund policy, and material restrictions clearly before obtaining express consent. Online enrollment must include a straightforward online cancellation method and a retainable acknowledgment.
The approved Plus prices are $7.99 per month or $69.99 per year. The planned founding offer is $49.99 for the first year for the first 250 eligible paid annual subscribers, followed by automatic renewal at $69.99 per year unless canceled. Family and business pilot prices shown on the Plans page are not currently available for self-service purchase.
When paid Plus access opens, the order page and hosted checkout will identify the exact amount, currency, billing interval, taxes, and renewal terms before payment. The subscription renews automatically until canceled. Unless the purchase disclosure states otherwise, cancellation stops future renewal and paid access continues through the current billing period. Failed or reversed payment may suspend paid features. Stripe processes payment details and provides online invoice, payment-method, and cancellation management.
The final refund policy must be published and accepted before paid enrollment opens.
11. Changes, suspension, and termination
Checks may be delayed, limited, or unavailable when providers fail or protective limits are reached. Features, limits, and these terms may change as the service develops. Material changes will be posted with an updated date and, when required, presented for renewed acceptance. ShareToCheck may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address security, unlawful conduct, abuse, provider requirements, or material breach. You may stop using the pilot at any time.
12. Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by law, ShareToCheck is provided "as is" and "as available." The operator and its suppliers disclaim all express, implied, and statutory warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and freedom from harmful code. ShareToCheck does not warrant that it will detect every scam or threat, that every warning is correct, or that any result will prevent loss.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator, its affiliates, and suppliers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of money, data, goodwill, profits, business opportunity, or account access; or harm arising from a scammer, submitted content, linked site, provider, or a decision based on a result. Their aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of US $100 or the amount you paid ShareToCheck for the service during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.
These exclusions do not apply to liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including any non-waivable consumer rights. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so portions of this section may not apply to you.
14. Responsibility for misuse
If you use ShareToCheck for a business or organization, that entity will defend and indemnify the operator and its suppliers from third-party claims, damages, and reasonable costs arising from its unlawful submissions, infringement of another person's rights, misuse of the service, or material breach of these Terms, except to the extent caused by the indemnified party. This section does not apply to an individual consumer where prohibited by law.
15. Disputes and applicable law
These pilot Terms do not require arbitration or waive participation in a class action. Applicable law, mandatory consumer protections, and the jurisdiction rules of a court with lawful authority govern any dispute. Before a general public beta, the Terms must identify the legal operator's governing law and forum after review by licensed counsel. Nothing here limits a right or remedy that cannot be waived.
16. General terms
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. A delay in enforcement is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without written permission; the operator may assign them as part of a merger, financing, reorganization, or transfer of the service, subject to applicable law. These Terms and the Privacy Notice are the entire agreement for the evaluation preview. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
17. Contact and legal notices
Before a general public beta or paid launch, this section must publish a monitored support email, legal-notice address, operator name, and postal address. This evaluation preview is not launch-ready until those details and a versioned acceptance record are in place.
